create a small heart-shaped sewing-themed hook.

design, forming, finishing
this quick little heart hook was a popular item and i often made dozens at a time.
i made a bending form using a block of wood and some cut off nails and round stock so they would be a fairly uniform size.
because the wire is so thin, no heat is necessary to bend them smoothly and hammer them flat which makes for a fine winter project.
they were finished in black and tipped with pre-made miniature maple sewing thread spools.
they look great holding sprigs of drying herbs or flowers, or joined pairs of dipped or rolled beeswax candles.
