create an illustrated comic book.

this project was (loosely!) connected to an ongoing study of japanese arts and culture formally and informally woven into the social studies and language arts curriculum throughout my jr.high experience.
the story follows a typical loss, revenge-seeking, training, crime-fighting plot line, the pseudo-realistic art is a daring departure from my usual style.

thanks to ms. lorraine cockle for her dedication to allowing students to explore authentic artistic and cultural experiences.
