i met dave in september 2005 when he came to work at ais where my church used to meet. i thought he was much younger than me and did not particularly care for skaters! ha! so we were just "friends" so to speak...
2005年９月、aisで働くことになったデイブに出会う。（そのころ私の教会はaisで集まっていました） そのころは“きっと私よりだいぶ若そうだし、スケボー？？！！”でした。
then i decided to do performing arts school in perth and egypt for 6 months in 2006. dave was one of my prayer supporters and he wrote me back on all my updates and we kept in touch. oh i forgot to mention...while i was in australia, i hung out with skaters and surfers and started to think they are cool and fun to hang out with...hmm... they are actually really nice. God changed my view towards skaters and prepared me for getting to know dave. funny eh?
2006年４月オーストラリアとエジプトに舞台芸術の学校（ユースウィズアミッション） に行く。デイブは私の宣教ニュースレターにいつも返事をしてくれ、その間も連絡を取り続ける。 ちなみに、オーストラリアにいる間にスケーターやサーファーたちと知り合いになり、 思っていたよりいい人たちだとわかり、さほどスケーターに興味がなかった私も これ以降興味がわき、神様が私の心をデイブに合うように変えていたのかも・・・
october 2006 after coming back from 6 months ywam mission life i started to join monday night bible study. i was touched by dave's heart for our Father in Heaven and a lot more qualities that he has.
2006年10月帰国後、デイブとシャロンがしているバイブルスタディ（聖書の学び） に参加し始めまし、デイブの神様に持つ心や彼の資質にはいつも尊敬していました。
dance parties, bible studies, lots of emails, working at same school for couple of months... to make a long story short, we became best friends over the years. i came to know that he is the one God sent to me.
ダンスパーティー、バイブルスタディ、Eメールのやりとり、同じ学校での勤務・・・ 気がつけば私たちは親友になり、デイブは神様が送ってくださった人だとわかりました。
dave's storyデイブの一言
we met in ashiya soon after i moved to japan in 05, though we have since discovered mutual friends that go back further... i remember meeting tamaki one afternoon when the house church meeting was held at the school [video], but she says she saw me once before that at a school sports day practice... among the first things i noticed about her were her outgoing personality and open conversational style... i was impressed that she was interested and informed about stuff God was working on in people, in japan, and in the world [podcasts] ...and that she had done a couple of schools with ywam [hp]...
僕たちが最初に会ったのは僕が2005年に芦屋に移ってから少し経ってからでした。 （ほかに共通の友達がいることはあとでわかったんだけど）たまきの教会が当時僕の学校で集まってたときに彼女に会ったのを覚えています。 [video], 彼女曰く、スポーツデイの練習の時にすでに会ってたらしいけれど・・・ 彼女について一番最初に気がついたことは彼女の社交的な性格(VIDEO)そしてオープンに話すそのスタイルでした。神様が人、日本、そして世界[podcasts]で働かれていることに彼女が関心を持っていること、そしてYWAM[hp]に行っていたことに僕は感心しました。
we became friends over time and i thought she was a very interesting person [video], but it stayed at that for quite awhile... we began talking more by email when she was away for six months at ywam perth and in egypt for a perfoming arts and event management school... when she returned, she was able to join our monday night bible study [hp] and contribute as a leader and teacher... she and (auntie) sharon [video] also got to know each other much better during this time and i enjoyed seeing her in a different setting...
それから友達になって、彼女がとても面白い人[video]だとわかりました。 でもこの友達の状態はしばらく続いて、彼女がYWAM パースとエジプトに舞台芸術を学びに６ヶ月行っていたときはEメールで連絡をとっていました。 彼女が帰国してのち、僕たちがしている月曜日の聖書の学び[hp]に来るようになってリーダー的な存在になってくれました。 彼女とアンティシャロン[video]はこの間にとても親しくなり、僕も彼女を違ったところで見れるのを楽しんでいました。
tamaki and a friend had planned to travel to hawaii and north america in the summer of 2007 and i was thinking of joining them on my way to canada [photos]... the timing didnt work out, but tamaki ended up going to kona and interpreting for the japan world dts for a few days, and also travelled around the western usa... again, email was our contact and we were at least able to share some of our travel experiences from a distance...
2007年の夏、たまきと友達がハワイとアメリカに旅行に行く計画を立てていて、僕もカナダ[photos]に行く途中に行こうと思ったんだけど、タイミングが合いませんでした。 結局彼女は一人で旅行することになり、コナでジャパンワールドDTSの通訳を数日し、アメリカ西海岸に行きました。 このときもEメールで僕たちは連絡を取り合っていました。
tamaki returned mid summer and helped out with summer school [video] at ais and spend some time on the island [photos] during the summer... when the fall school year began, tamaki was relocated from mip to ais [hp] which meant more time to hang out with less planning, and the opportunity to see her work with the kids and staff here... in november, i hosted a combined birthday (dance) party [video] for tamaki and friends, which brings us to the end of december when the conversation shifted from good friends to best friends (^_^)...
たまきはその夏のAISでのサマースクール[video]の途中に帰国してスクールを少し手伝って、芦屋浜[photos]で時間を過ごしました。新しい学期が始まって、彼女はMIPからAIS[hp]に異動、このことでさらに時間を過ごせるようになり、彼女が生徒やほかの先生たちと接するのを見るいい機会になりました。 11月に僕が誕生日兼ダンスパーティ[video]を彼女と友達のために開き、これが12月の良い友達からベストフレンドになる話し合いにつながっていったのです。
tamaki is smart and beautiful and fun and funny... she approaches life with a positive attitude and her own style... she is good with her students, speaks the truth in love, and plays well with others... she is not afraid to be different, she loves Him and she is willing to be transformed by His hand each day to become little bit more like herself...やった~！
たまきは賢く、きれいで楽しくておもしろい・・・ 前向きな態度と彼女特有なスタイルで人生をとらえ、生徒たちにも良くし、愛をもって真理を語り、ほかの人と仲良く付き合う・・・ 違っているということを恐れず、主を愛し、毎日神の手によって彼女らしくなるようにさらに変えられたいと願っている・・・そんな女性です。 yay~!
