Parent Conferences (from the school handbook; section 8, page 21)
Parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year and allow for brief but valuable personal interaction focused on the needs of the student. Please do your best to be on time as teachers are not able to delay appointments for late individuals. Childcare for kindergarten students will be provided during your meeting time only. Parents are responsible to arrange for additional childcare for conference days as needed.
We believe that God has designed people to be unique by giving them different gifts and interests. We acknowledge that every child has his or her own learning curve in developing skills and abilities.
The teacher will begin by guiding you through your child’s progress report to inform you of his or her study habits and development at school. Please note that teachers are not certified counselors and may not have time to discuss all your parenting concerns in detail. If you still have additional issues that concern your child’s development in school, please inform the school in writing.

The goals of the parent-teacher conference are for parents to:
- Understand better how your child is interacting and performing at school.
- Recognize strengths and talents — highlight and praise positive student behavior at home.
- Identify areas of improvement — encourage and assist student growth at home.
