Cool to Be Kind...

Creating community together:

Gentle words are very powerful, often others will listen closely to a kind word, but not to a harsh word - even if it is the truth!
Proverbs 15.1

Sharing is very difficult at first, but it is good practice for showing and teaching others how we would like to be treated.
Mark 12.31 Luke 6.31

Right...or happy? In each situation of disagreement with another person we have to choose carefully whether to fight for our rights or to lay them down in order to solve a conflict.
Mark 12.31

Opposite responses to angry words and actions are hard to practice, but we can often calm the anger or stop the quarrel by not mirroring or reflecting it back to someone who is unkind to us.
Matthew 5.43-45
Starcat says, "Be kind!"

Don't yell at one another or ever be rude. Instead, be kind and merciful and forgive others, just as God forgave you.
Ephesians 4.31-32

"A kind answer calms angry feelings, but harsh words stir them up."
Proverbs 15.1
