What We Are Practicing:
Speaking English is very important for all AIS students.
In elementary, we are helping each other learn new words and trying to speak only English until Japanese class time.
Including Everyone when we play or work or talk is a good way to be part of a community.
Always use kind words and try to make ways for all friends to join in activities.
Repeated Reading is a very important skill for developing vocabulary and sight reading skills.
Instead of reading many stories only once or twice, students should be reading the same stories every day for a week at a time to strengthen reading skills.
This is a very important part of becoming a better reader.
Basic Math Facts are useful for performing calculations and solving larger problems.
Students should be practising
Don't yell at one another or ever be rude. Instead, be kind and merciful and forgive others, just as God forgave you.
Ephesians 4.31-32
People judge others by what they look like, but the Lord looks at the heart.
1 Samuel 16.7
adding (+) and subtracting (-) or multiplying (x) and dividing (รท) skills for homework.
Remember...
The homework program work needs to be completed each night. Read every night from your readers or science or health books.
Please keep track of your reading on your reading sheet.
Please bring your calligraphy set, abacus and reading books to school for days that we use them in class.
Special events this month are Sports Day and Back to School on Oct.21.
