the canvas for this piece is a well worn pirates of skim skimboard that had lost its base due to an undisclosed incident involving some concrete.
this piece was inspired by some sketching i did of stylized bamboo combined with another outline theme i am developing.
tamakizushi once again rocked a rad color scheme for me that looks sweet with the black and the natural wood.
i like the shape of skimboard decks, kind of reminiscent of the traditional painted shields i saw in kenya.
still waiting for that sponsorship for posca-uni and some more old decks…bring it on, someone ^_^
