the nishinomiya seaside skatepark’s first officially commissioned art was added in 2006 in preparation for a skate competition and music event.
local and national artists including the crew from typhonics sound system, davej, sag of the west38 crew, and midori-chan covered the park in traditional and modern style graffiti art during the month leading up to the event.
the goal of this project was to revisit the park exactly two years later and cover or enhance some of the worn artwork with the leftover paint. the original paintings can be viewed here.
