illustrate graphics for a team logo skateboard for a canadian west-coast youth camp

due to the popularity of the first limited edition decks released the previous year, camp qwanoes wanted to continue to offer their own branded skateboard decks the following summer.
having camp-branded decks on all of the skatepark boards helped create the unified skatepark/camp experience and solidify the high level of quality in the program.
props to cal’s pharmacy and portland skatechurch for donating trucks and wheels for park boards and safety gear for the campers.

this custom qwanoes skate logo began as a hand painted vinyl banner davej created for the skatepark in 1999 and was scaled down for use on the original qwanoes deck in the previous year.
davej created a new 1:1 scale hand drawing in b/w ink that was then photographed, separated, and prepared by the screen printers.
the style of this reflects the flowing freestyle and the colorway of the original banner painting.
this is the first three-color screen print for the qwanoes skateboard brand.
