nishinomiya seaside skatepark’s first official art was commissioned in march and april 2006 in preparation for a skate competition and music event.
local and national artists including the crew from typhonics sound system, davej of project77, sag of the west38 crew, and midori-chan covered the park in traditional and modern style graffiti art during the month leading up to the event.
the goal of this project was to enhance the artistic appeal of the park, cover some patchy existing graffiti, and prepare for the park’s first official event.
project77 was given charge of covering all of the vertical surfaces in the park (sides, backs, and ledges) with artwork.
