this project was (loosely!) connected to an ongoing study of japanese arts and culture formally and informally woven into the social studies and language arts curriculum throughout my jr.high experience.
the story follows a typical loss, revenge-seeking, training, crime-fighting plot line, the pseudo-realistic art is a daring departure from my usual style.
